In a nutshell: I’m a freelance journalist living in New York.

In a slightly larger nutshell:

My work has appeared in the Daily Beast, Ms. Magazine, The Huffington Post, Playbill, The Rumpus, Women’s eNews, and at the Poetry Foundation, where I was the 2010 journalism fellow. I’m a graduate of Pitzer College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and I taught English literature for four years before devoting myself to writing and reporting full-time. Currently, I’m working on my first book.
